How to Use the Library in RobinReach

Organize and Manage Your Media with the Library

What the Library Does

RobinReach's Library feature allows you to store, organize, and easily access your media files for seamless content creation. You can upload images and videos from your device, search for high-quality visuals from Unsplash, and organize everything in folders for easy management.

Accessing the Library

1. Click Library in the sidebar (folder icon)

2. You will be redirected to the Folders page where you can create and manage folders

Creating a New Folder

1. Click "New Folder" button at the top-right corner of the page
2. A modal will appear—enter a Folder Name (required)
3. Click "Create Folder" to add the new folder to your Library

Uploading Files to a Folder

1. Click on any folder to open it
2. You will be redirected to the folder page, where you can:
   • Drag and drop files into the upload area
   • Click on the upload area to manually select files from your device
3. Click "Upload" to confirm the file upload
4. Once uploaded, all your files will be displayed in the folder

Searching for Photos on Unsplash

• In folder view: Use the "Search for photos on Unsplash..." input field
• In post creation: Click the Unsplash option in the media upload modal
• How to search:
  • Enter keywords (minimum 3 characters)
  • Results show up to 8-9 images
  • Click any image to add it directly to your library
• API integration: Uses Unsplash API with proper authentication

Managing Your Files

• All uploaded files are stored in ActiveStorage
• Files are organized by folders for easy access
• You can search within folders by filename
• Files are available when creating posts in the Compose feature
• You can delete individual files or entire folders

Integration with Post Creation

• Library access: Available in the media upload modal when creating posts
• Folder selection: Choose from folders that contain media
• File selection: Click to select files for your posts
• Automatic saving: Files are automatically saved to your library when uploaded

Technical Details

• Storage limit: Based on your subscription plan
• File types: Images and videos supported
• File validation: Checks file types and sizes
• Folder permissions: Company-wide access for team members
• API limits: Unsplash has rate limiting for searches
