Limitations

What are Daily Post Limits?

RobinReach applies a daily posting limit to each connected social profile. For most

platforms these limits protect your accounts from being flagged as spam and keep

engagement healthy. X (Twitter) is different: X now charges per API call, so its daily

limits exist to keep X available without passing the full cost on to you (details below).

X (Twitter) 5 to 12 per account — plan based (Bloom: 5/day, Thrive: 12/day). Available from Bloom.

Note: The rolling 24-hour period is calculated in UTC. Limits reset at midnight UTC each day.

X (Twitter): How Its Limits Work

In 2026 X moved to a pay-per-use API, so every post (especially posts with links) carries

a real cost on our side. To keep X available without passing that full cost on to you:

  • Per-account limits. Counted per connected X account. A Thrive user with 3 accountsgets 12 tweets/day on each account, independently.
  • Plan tiers. Bloom: 1 connected X account, up to 5 posts/day. Thrive: up to 3connected X accounts, up to 12 posts/day each.
  • Not on Seed or Sprout. The cost per post makes X unsustainable on lower tiers. X isavailable from Bloom onward.
  • Analytics disabled. X analytics are turned off across all plans due to X's read APIcosts. Posting is fully supported; analytics for your other platforms are unaffected.
  • Existing connections are grandfathered. If you already connected more X accounts thanyour plan allows, they keep working — you just can't add new ones beyond your limit, anddaily limits still apply to every account.
  • Over the limit = clear error. Posts beyond your daily X limit fail with a clear"limit reached" message and reset the next day.

Why Do These Limits Exist?

  1. API costs (X/Twitter) — X charges per API call, so the limit keeps it affordable to offer.
  2. Platform compliance — adherence to community guidelines; avoids spam flags.
  3. Account protection — protects profiles from penalties; preserves reputation and reach.
  4. Quality over quantity — encourages strategic planning and higher engagement.
  5. System performance — reliable posting and consistent service for all users.

What Happens When You Reach a Limit?

You'll get an error message naming the platform that hit its limit, its daily limit, and

suggested next steps, and the post won't be scheduled until the limit resets or you free up

space. For X (Twitter), any post beyond the daily limit fails with a clear "limit reached"

message rather than being rescheduled.

What Can You Do If You Reach a Limit?

  • Reschedule for tomorrow — limits reset at midnight UTC.
  • Modify existing posts — remove or move one of that day's posts to free space.
  • Spread content across days — usually better for engagement.
  • Upgrade (X only) — Bloom → Thrive raises your X limit from 5 to 12 tweets/day peraccount and allows up to 3 connected X accounts.

Do Limits Apply to All Post Types?

Yes: scheduled posts, immediately published posts, and recurring posts (each occurrence counts).

No: draft posts (saved but not scheduled).

Per-Account vs. Total Limits

Limits apply per individual connected profile:

  • 3 Facebook pages → each has its own 30/day limit.
  • 2 Instagram accounts → each has its own 30/day limit.
  • X (Twitter) → each connected account has its own daily limit (5/day on Bloom, 12/day onThrive), counted independently.

Special Circumstances (non-X platforms)

If your organization has unique needs exceeding standard limits, we can review your case —

e.g. established news media, verified government agencies, publicly owned services, or large

enterprise accounts. (X limits are set by X's API pricing and are raised by upgrading your

plan rather than by request.) Email [email protected] with your org details, posting

needs, and justification.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What timezone are limits calculated in?

A: UTC. Limits reset at midnight UTC regardless of your local timezone.

Q: Why is X (Twitter) rate limited?

A: X moved to a pay-per-use API in 2026. Every post, especially posts with links, carries a

cost on our end. Daily limits let us keep X available without passing the full cost on to you.

Q: Why is X not available on Seed and Sprout?

A: The API cost per post makes it unsustainable on lower tier plans. X is available from Bloom onward.

Q: I already have more X accounts connected than my plan allows. Will they stop working?

A: No. Existing connections are grandfathered and keep working. You just can't connect

additional X accounts beyond your plan limit. Daily limits apply to all accounts regardless.

Q: What happens when I hit my daily tweet limit?

A: Posts beyond your daily limit fail with a clear error saying the limit was reached. Limits

reset every day at midnight.

Q: Are X (Twitter) analytics still available?

A: No. X analytics are disabled across all plans due to X's read API costs. Posting is fully

supported within plan limits.

Q: Can I upgrade to get higher X limits?

A: Yes. Bloom → Thrive raises your daily limit from 5 to 12 tweets per account and allows up

to 3 connected X accounts.

Q: Do weekend limits differ from weekday limits?

A: No — same every day, including weekends and holidays.

Q: Can I see how many posts I've used for the day?

A: Currently the limit info is shown when you reach or exceed a limit. A daily usage counter

in the dashboard is on the way.

Q: Do collaborative posts count toward limits?

A: Yes — any post published to a connected profile counts, including collaborative and tagged content.

Q: What happens to recurring posts when I hit limits?

A: For most platforms, occurrences that would exceed the daily limit reschedule to the next

available day. For X (Twitter), occurrences beyond the daily limit fail with a clear error instead.

Best Practices

  1. Plan your content calendar — visualize and distribute posts evenly across days/platforms.
  2. Prioritize — schedule your most important content first; use drafts to prepare without using limits.
  3. Diversify — don't rely on one platform for high-volume posting.
  4. Monitor usage — adjust based on engagement; use RobinReach analytics to optimize posting times.

Last updated: 7/6/2026 . Daily limits may be adjusted periodically to reflect platform changes and user needs.
